The Estate of Artist Buky Schwartz
The mission of the Estate of Artist Buky Schwartz is to preserve Buky’s artistic legacy through museum/gallery exhibitions, private and public collections, education, research, preservation and web3 initiatives.
The Estate has recently placed Painted Projections (1977) at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and Circle (1978) at ZKM Museum. Other key initiatives include establishing Buky’s official archive at Israel’s Museum in Jerusalem. And forging a collaboration with the Moving Image Archiving and Preservation (MIAP) program at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts and the University of Miami’s Norton Herrick Center for Motion Picture Studies to preserve the late artist’s extensive archive of multimedia works.
