A short documentary about Israeli sculptor and video artist Buky Schwartz for videoart.net. New York City, 2007. The film features curator John G. Hanhardt discussing Buky’s work, including Buky’s own commentary. The film was shot at Bryce Wolkowitz Gallery in New York where SPRING 1981, Video Installation was exhibited.
ZKM Museum has invited the Estate of Buky Schwartz to participate in its upcoming exhibit Negative Space Trajectories of Sculpture that will take place 06.04.2019–11.08.2019, ZKM_Atrium 1+2. Buky’s featured pieces will be Videoconstructions segment 5 (1978) and The Chair (1980).
The Moving Image Archiving and Preservation (MIAP) program at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts and the University of Miami’s Norton Herrick Center for Motion Picture Studies have joined forces with the Estate of Buky Schwartz to preserve the late artist’s extensive archive of multimedia works.
